Depression
Depression is a debilitating illness and, unfortunately, one that many of us have to deal with at some point in our lifetime. If you are suffering from depression of any kind it is important to remember that you are not alone and help is available. Symptoms can vary per individual but some common warning signs to look out for are:
✔ Low mood
✔ Poor concentration
✔ Crying
✔ Under or over-eating
✔ Suicidal thoughts
✔ Loss of interest in things you previously enjoyed
✔ Irritability
✔ Feeling hopeless and/or helpless
✔ Under or over sleeping
At Brideswell Counselling and Psychotherapy I understand the complex nature of depression and the many manifestations it can have. I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where I work with each individual to tailor a treatment plan that is effective and empowering for them. Whilst many people will only experience depression once during their lifetime, for others it is experienced through multiple episodes and, as such, I work towards long-term solutions which include recovery and prevention of relapse.
